11 counties and Capital under Code Yellow for scorching heat

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued a Code Yellow warning for scorching heat on Wednesday, affecting 11 counties and the Municipality of Bucharest in the coming hours.

According to the source, today between 12:00 and 21:00, in the south, centre, and east of Muntenia, the south of Moldavia, as well as the continental part of Dobrogea, thermal discomfort will be high, and the heat index (temperature-humidity index, THI) is expected to reach the critical threshold of 80 units.

Maximum temperatures will range from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, and the affected counties are: Tulcea, Constanta, Galati, Braila, Ialomita, Calarasi, Vrancea, Buzau, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Teleorman, plus the Municipality of Bucharest.
