20th CPC National Congress proposed to be held on october 16 in Beijing

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee decided that the seventh plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee will be convened in Beijing on October 9, 2022, and the CPC convene its 20th National Congress on October 16, 2022 in Beijing, according to China Daily.

Xi Jinping would be re-elected as General Secretary of the CPC for an unprecedented third term, following an amendment to the Constitution.

The Nationacl Congress would also lead to a major change in the structure of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party, the all-powerful seven member organism, the real holder of power in China.
