26,679 dissolved companies nine months into 2022, in Romania

The number of dissolved companies increased 20.72%, in the first nine months of 2022, to 26,679, compared to 22,100 in the same period of 2021, according to the data of the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC), Agerpres reads.

The most dissolutions were registered in Bucharest, respectively 4,924 companies (up 22.73%), and in the counties of Constanta (1,352, +23.02%), Cluj (1,263, +29.01%), Timis (1,168, +18.1%) and Ilfov (1,069, + 23.01%).

At the opposite pole, the fewest company dissolutions were recorded in the counties of Ialomita, respectively 135 (-23.73%), Covasna (180, +40.63%), Mehedinti (188, +42.42%) and Harghita (198, +16.47%).

The activity area that registered the most dissolutions of companies, in the first nine months of this year, is wholesale and retail trade, the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, where 8,093 dissolutions were registered at the national level. Compared to the same period of the previous year, dissolutions in this sector increased 20.09%.

According to the cited source, construction, professional, scientific and technical activities as well as the manufacturing industry are other areas of activity where a large number of company dissolutions were recorded, namely 2,558 (+22.28%), 2,367 (+13.63%) ), respectively 2,353 (+21.54%).

In September 2022, 3,663 company dissolutions were registered, most in Bucharest (654) and the counties of Constanta (197), Cluj (163) and Timis (168).
