The two trucks were checked at the Nadlac II and Varsand Border Crossing Points, informs the Arad Border Police.
The truck stopped at Nadlac II was driven by a Turkish citizen and was loaded with car parts that were to be transported to Germany.
„Following the detailed control of the means of transport, 27 foreign citizens were discovered, hidden in the semi-trailer, among the transported goods. The persons were picked up and transported to the headquarters of the research sector where, following the checks, the border police established that they are citizens from Syria and Iraq who intended to fraudulently cross the state border,” the press release reads.
In Varsand, inside a truck registered in Bulgaria, driven by a Bulgarian who was transporting toilet lids and porcelain to Germany, a man from Guinea was also discovered.
