29 people were rescued, in the last 24 hours, by mountain rescuers, more than half of them being transported to the hospital, Salvamont Romania announced on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, the Salvamont National Dispatch received 28 calls requesting the emergency intervention of rescuers, according to a post on Salvamont’s Facebook page.
Salvamont says that of the 29 people, 16 were handed over to the ambulance service or SMURD (Mobile Emergency, Resuscitation and Extrication Service) to be rushed to the hospital.
„Unfortunately, two people died and were handed over to the IML (forensic) Service,” Salvamont representatives also said.
