35 flights cancelled on Monday amid events in Middle East

Published on

A total of 35 flights to or from Israel, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Egypt and Jordan were cancelled on Monday as a result of the events in the Middle East, according to the National Company Bucharest Airports.

These include 17 departures and 18 arrivals operated by the airlines Flydubai, HiSky Europe, Israir Airlines, Qatar Airways, TAROM and Wizz Air Malta.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure recommended that Romanian citizens who have planned travel to the State of Israel or neighbouring states directly affected by the conflict cancel or reschedule these trips for a later date.

On Saturday morning, Israel and the United States launched attacks against Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran and other cities such as Tabriz in the north-west and Isfahan in the centre. Iran responded by launching missiles and drones against American military bases in Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates and against military centres on Israeli territory, according to EFE.
