3,600,000 ballot papers needed for each round of voting in presidential elections abroad

The estimated number of ballot papers required for voting stations abroad in the presidential elections is 3,600,000 for each round of voting, according to a letter the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) sent to the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).

„In accordance with the provisions of Article 32, paragraph (2) of Law no. 370/2004 for the election of the President of Romania, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, we inform you that the estimated number of ballot papers needed for voting stations abroad for the 2025 Presidential Election is 3,600,000 ballot papers, for each round of voting,” according to the document published on the BEC website.

The first round of the presidential elections is scheduled to take place on May 4, and the second round on May 18.
