374 patients with COVID-19 in hospitals, four deaths last week

The Ministry of Health informs that 374 people with COVID-19 are hospitalized in specialized health units, write Agerpres.

According to the Ministry of Health, 38 patients are hospitalized in the ICU, 24 of them not vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2.

Out of the total number of hospitalized patients currently, 52 are minors, 48 being hospitalized in wards and four in ICU.

In the last week, four deaths were reported by the National Institute for Public Health (INSP), three men and one woman. One of the deaths was in the 60-69 age category, two in the 70-79 age category and one in the over 80 age category.

All the deceased patients had comorbidities, and one was vaccinated against COVID.

The Ministry of Health also informs that, between August 14 and 20, 1,894 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 were registered, the total number rising to 3,413,851, so far.

Until now, 68,266 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died in our country.
