84 illegal acts committed at border crossing points in the last 24 hours (IGPF)

Border police officers have found 84 illegal acts – 27 offenses and 57 contraventions, following controls carried out at border crossing points in the last 24 hours.

„As a result of the illegal acts detected by the border police officers, fines amounting to 49,770 RON were imposed and goods worth about 327,900 RON were seized in view of confiscation, and stopped from sale in order to protect consumers,” informs a press release from the General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPF) sent to AGERPRES on Monday.

Moreover, 11 foreign citizens who did not fulfill the conditions required by law were denied entry to the country and 14 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.

On the direction of entry into Romania, through land, air and sea border crossings, arrivals from non Schengen countries, formalities were carried out for 65.027 persons.

At the same time, 16,342 means of transportation entered the country, reads the cited source.

According to the IGPF, from February 10, 2022 until December 29, 2024, as many as 10,913,319 Ukrainian citizens have entered Romania.
