Marcel Ciolacu: In 20 years of NATO membership, Romania has become an important pillar inside the alliance

In its 20 years of NATO membership, Romania has become an important pillar and has consolidated its position inside the alliance, meeting its security commitments in the Black Sea area, national leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Marcel Ciolacu said on Friday.

„Romania’s NATO membership is a security guarantee to our country. In its 20 years of NATO membership, Romania has become an important pillar and has consolidated its position inside alliance, meeting its security commitments in the Black Sea area,” Ciolacu said on Friday in a post on PSD’s social media page.

He added that Romania will continue to be an „influential and constructive” player inside NATO.

„We will continue to be an influential and constructive player inside NATO in order to strengthen and develop our alliance so that collective security guarantees provide Romanians with the stability and security they need for Romania’s development.”
