The common candidate of the Social Democratic Party – the National Liberal Party (PSD-PNL) alliance for general mayor of Bucharest, Catalin Cirstoiu, is under constant attack, said PSD spokesman Lucian Romascanu, the senator pointing out that the doctor has the right profile to win the election battle on 9 June.
At a press conference held to launch the PSD candidates for the local elections in Buzau County, Senator Lucian Romascanu denied the rumours about the withdrawal of Catalin Cirstoiu’s candidacy for the Capital Hall.
„No, Mr. Cirstoiu has the right profile for the Capital,” Romascanu said.
The PSD leader said he trusts the candidate proposed by the coalition, a manager who has managed to attract important European funds for the development of the hospital unit he led.
„I believe that a hospital manager who has brought millions, tens and hundreds of millions for that hospital, a man who has had the company since 2005, is judged now because he has a fortune that is a tenth of Clotilde Armand’s fortune. Let’s get the right messages across as much as we can and I think the race ends on June 9, not now,” Romascanu stressed.
The PSD – PNL candidate for Capital mayor, Catalin Cirstoiu, said on Monday that it is out of the question to withdraw from the electoral race, adding that he is a man who wins the battles he starts.
