Bucharest stock market opens Monday’s trading session in the red

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s trading session with all indices down, and 9.4 million RON (1.89 million EUR) worth of transactions performed in the first 30 minutes after the start of trades.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dropped 0.67 percent, and so did the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers fell 0.70 percent, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dipped 0.51 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies decreased 0.43 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG was down 0.68 percent.

According to BVB, the issuers to see the largest price rise were the Prefab (+2.94 percent), Ropharma (+2.63 percent) and Roca Industry (+2.25 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Sinteza (-5.38 percent), UCM Resita (-4.35 percent) and Electromagnetica (-2.36 percent).
