Published on

The transaction by which Engie Romania wants to take over the producer of electricity from renewable sources, EP Wind Project (ROM) Six, was authorized by the Competition Council.

According to a press release of the competition authority, sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, following the analysis of this transaction, it was found that the operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition on the Romanian market or on a substantial part of it, as well as that „there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a normal competitive environment”.

Engie Romania S.A., through the companies controlled by it, operates in the sector of electricity production from renewable sources (through the operation of wind and photovoltaic plants), in the natural gas sector and in the sector of services related to the energy sector.

EP Wind Project (ROM) Six S.A. owns and operates a wind power plant in Constanta county, being active in the sector of electricity production from renewable sources.
