18 people rescued from mountain area in last 24 hours, 4 rushed to hospital

As many as 18 people were found, in the last 24 hours, by rescuers, four of them being transported to the hospital, Salvamont Romania announced on Monday.

In the last 24 hours, the National Dispatch received 14 calls requesting the emergency intervention of rescuers, according to a post on Salvamont’s Facebook page.

Thus, there were five calls for Salvamont Brasov and Gorj, two for Salvamont Brasov and one each for Maramures and Dambovita.

„For these interventions, 18 people were saved. Of these, four were handed over to the ambulance service or SMURD (Mobile Emergency, Resuscitation and Extrication Service) to be transported to a hospital. We also received 20 calls requesting advice and information about different tourist routes in the mountain area,” Salvamont mentions.
