More than 400 Romanian and foreign companies from 31 countries are taking part in the 9th edition of the International Exhibition dedicated to the aviation, defence, national security and private security industry – Black Sea Defence & Aerospace – BSDA 2024, which opens at the Romaero Exhibition Complex on Wednesday.

The opening will be attended by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Senate President Nicolae Ciuca and Defence Minister Angel Tilvar.

According to the National Defence Ministry (MApN), BSDA 2024, which will take place from 22 to 24 May at the Romaero S.A. exhibition complex in Bucharest, is the largest defence, aeronautics and security exhibition in Eastern Europe and will feature as exhibitors the world’s largest companies in the field, over 400 Romanian and foreign companies from 31 countries.

The exhibition aims to identify opportunities and find solutions for cooperation in both production and business, contributing to the international promotion of the Romanian defence industry.

In the current geopolitical context, the event is relevant for both the military and the economic fields, aiming both to promote state-of-the-art technology in weapons systems and technical equipment for defence, as well as to develop contacts between countries and industrial cooperation, by facilitating the exchange of experience between representatives of companies producing military technology, says the source.
