Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity (MMSS) Simona Bucura Oprescu discussed in Iasi, at the meeting of the Social Dialogue Commission, the new pension law, the course of the new public sector pay law, labour, employment and vocational training, the work of social welfare institutions, as well as other topics of broad interest.
„Strengthening social dialogue is one of the priorities of my mandate, and in this regard we have had and continue to have consultations at the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity with all social partners because only together we can find the best solutions to the problems faced by a particular sector of activity or society as a whole. Today (Tuesday, editor’s note) we had an open dialogue in Iasi, applied in what I consider to be a social partnership between the administration, employers’ organisations and trade unions. As Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity I believe that social dialogue is essential if we really want to ensure the much needed balance in society, to ensure the right balance between needs, resources and strategies to be followed to maximize results for the benefit of citizens,” said Minister Simona Bucura-Oprescu, according to a post on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity (MMSS).
According to the quoted source, the minister of Labour attended the meeting of the Social Dialogue Commission on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Prefect’s Institution of Iasi County, where representatives of the Prefecture, the County Council, deconcentrated public services, trade unions and representative employers’ associations were present.
