The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session with growth on most indices, and turnover amounted to 10.8 million RON (2 million euros) after 40 minutes from the start of transactions.
The main BET index, which shows the evolution of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an appreciation of 0.22%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares from the BVB, also recorded an increase of 0.22%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid securities, increased by 0.11%, while the yield benchmark of investment funds, BET-BK, appreciated by 0.04%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs was down by 0.30%, and the BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, lost 0.07%.
According to BVB data, Condmag (+8.33%), Santierul Naval Orsova (+4.69%) and Mecanica Ceahlau (+3.57%) recorded the biggest increases in the value of shares.
On the other hand, the shares of Vrancart (-2.68%), Bittnet Systems (-2.43%) and Longshield Investment Group (-2.30%) were down.
