The written tests of the first session (June – July) of the 2024 national Baccalaureate exam will take place July 1-5 in 477 locations, with the Romanian Language and Literature test scheduled for today.

The students will take a mandatory test in Mathematics or History, depending on field.

On Thursday, the test of choice will take place, where the candidates can choose, depending on branch, field and specialisation one subject from among 10: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Philosophy, Geography, Computer Science, Logic, Argumentation and Communication, Sociology and Psychology.

On Friday, all students having attended high school with tuition in a language of the national minorities will take the Mother Tongue and Literature test.

According to data provided by the organisers, more than 134,000 candidates – including 119,000 from class of 2024 – are expected to take the exam in this session.
