The President of the Senate, the leader of the PNL, Nicolae Ciuca wished success on Monday to the Romanian national football team at EURO 2024, expressing his hope that „a united, motivated team” will be able to move forward.

„Allow me not to conclude before wishing the national team success. Let’s thank them for the entire journey until now at EURO 2024 and we will be with them from anywhere. And from here in the country this vibe with the team is best felt. I am convinced that they feel it there and will feel it when they return to the country, regardless of the result. We hope that, together, a motivated team will be able to move forward,” Ciuca said at the Parliament.

The national team coached by Edward Iordanescu will face the Dutch team in the round of 16 of the European Football Championship – EURO 2024, hosted by Germany, a match that will take place on July 2, at the Football Arena in Munich, from 19:00.
