Romanians, wherever they are, will be able to exercise their right to vote in the best conditions both in the presidential and parliamentary elections, president Klaus Iohannis declared on Wednesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, at the meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions, heads of consular offices and Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) directors on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy.
„More than a month ago, you successfully completed the organization of the European parliamentary election abroad. I am convinced that, through your efforts, Romanian citizens, wherever they are, will be able to exercise their right to vote in the best conditions and in the elections presidential and parliamentary ones,” said the head of state.
Iohannis told the Romanian diplomats that the foreign policy guidelines remain the consolidation of the role and influence in the EU and NATO, the deepening of the Strategic Partnership with the USA, as well as the diversification of the bilateral dialogue with partners from all continents.
According to the president, at the end of the 10 years of his mandate, Romania’s external identity gained „in substance”, and the profile of our country grew „perhaps even exponentially”.
The president also told the Romanian diplomats to keep their objective spirit, professional integrity, creativity and technical skills.
