Romania is a stable and predictable country, an opportunity for successful diplomatic action (PM Ciolacu)

Romania is a stable and predictable country, which offers our country the opportunity for a successful diplomatic action, declared prime minister Marcel Ciolacu, at the Annual Meeting of Romanian Diplomacy.

„Romania believes in democracy and values, supports its friends and honors its partnerships, has a dynamic economy and a mature society that rejects extremism,” declared Marcel Ciolacu.

The prime minister reaffirmed, in the context of the continuation of the war on the border, the firm support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and also emphasized the total support for the Republic of Moldova.

Also in a regional context, he welcomed the efforts of Romanian diplomacy to strengthen the security of the Black Sea region and ensure the support of allies and partners for our objective, to transform the Black Sea into an area of peace, security and connectivity.

The prime minister pointed out, among the main attributes of stability, that of security, emphasizing that an important objective is the strengthening of Romania’s national defense and security.

In terms of EU membership, he emphasized that Romania’s European objectives remain the same.

He also highlighted that the Strategic Partnership with the United States remains a basic pillar of our foreign policy, and he also mentioned the special relations that Romania has with Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey and Poland.

The prime minister emphasized that the Bucharest authorities pursue an active role in the Asian area and want the partners from this area to be engaged in large infrastructure projects, in investments in the field of green and nuclear energy, and industry in general.

He also referred to the diversification of relations with the states of the Middle East, Latin America and the states of the African continent.

The prime minister also pointed out the importance that should be given to Romanians from outside the borders.

At the end of his speech, the head of the Executive assured the representatives of the Romanian diplomacy of his full support.
