Line 4 of the Bucharest metro will be modernized through the integration of the access control system with the other lines, declared Wednesday, in a press conference at the Victoria Palace, the spokesman of the Government, Mihai Constantin.

„In Bucharest, Line 4 of the Bucharest metro will be modernized by integrating the access control system with the other lines. Specifically, we are talking about the Nicolae Grigorescu – Anghel Saligny connection and the North Station 2 – Straulesti connection. The metro stations on this line will be equipped with new access control gates, equipment for validating travel tickets, vending machines for selling cards, vending machines for other travel products, and the same technology will be used throughout the metro network, which will generate a better exploitation both from a technical point of view and the costs of use, bearing in mind the comfort of the passengers who benefit from this transport infrastructure,” said Constantin.

He added that this project will cost approximately 163 million RON, financed from the state budget, and will have an execution duration of seven months.
