Bill on pension taxation ceiling, cleared by Chamber of Deputies

Published on

The plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies adopted, on Tuesday, the draft law that increases the ceiling up to which income from pensions is non-taxable, from 2,000 RON to 3,000 RON, with 277 votes in favour and 3 abstentions.

„The monthly taxable income from pensions is established by deducting from the pension’s income the non-taxable monthly amount of 3,000 RON. These provisions enter into force on October 1, 2024 and are applied starting with the income related to the month of October 2024,” the bill reads.

The draft law was previously adopted by the Senate, and the Chamber of Deputies is the decision-making body.
