Published on

President Klaus Iohannis has convened the Supreme Council for Country’s Defense (CSAT) on September 19, at the Cotroceni Palace, the Presidential Administration reports.

According to the quoted source, the agenda of the meeting includes topics related to the stage and prospects of the conflict in Ukraine following the illegal and unjustified aggression of the Russian Federation and the implications for Romania, but also the opportunities offered by the new geopolitical context for the consolidation of the Strategic Partnership with the Republic Moldova.

In this sense, „ensuring the irreversibility of the European course” of the neighboring country is evoked.

CSAT members will discuss, on September 19, the National Plan for the Implementation of the Civil Pact in the field of Common Security and Defense Policy, but also the Endowment Plan for the Romanian Army for the period 2025 – 2034.
