The head of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Nicolae Ciuca declared on Tuesday that in the governing coalition it was decided to back the „Romania produces” plan for the reindustrialization of Romania, noting that it is a project that he announced and defined when he was prime minister.
„Romanian industry can revive itself and become a catalyst of the economy again if it receives the support it needs. I asked the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos, to present the „Romania produces” plan – a project which I announced and defined when I was a prime minister – and whose goal is to unlock the country’s economic potential. We decided today in the governing coalition to support, through this concrete plan, the reindustrialization of Romania,” Ciuca wrote on Facebook.
He said that „the liberal project pumps billions of euros into the real economy, through three programs carried out in the following years.
„The ‘Industrial Renewal of Romania’ program has a value of 3 billion euros and has three directions. To attract private investments in the economy, one billion euros has been allocated. Thus, projects worth at least 150 million euros will receive a 30% grant of value. Through the second direction, 450 million euros is granted to support the industry with an impact in reducing the differences between the country’s regions. The third direction aims at the accelerated decarbonization of the industry, through a support of one billion euros”, explained the liberal leader.
Ciuca mentioned that the second program of 250 million euros from the national plan will stimulate the processing of deposits in the country: „Romanian resources must be processed in the country, ensuring jobs for people and a consistent strengthening of our exports”.
According to Ciuca, „the third program will invest 300 million euros in the development of local businesses. Domestic companies can increase their value and strength to become relevant on international markets. Romania is a country of innovation, brave people and opportunities”.
„I am convinced that, through a revitalization plan, the country’s industry will be more solid and more competitive”, added the PNL leader.
