The Government approved on Wednesday a draft law that provides for the payment of Romania’s annual financial contribution to the United Nations Fund, in the amount of 101,400 dollars, starting in 2025.

Through this draft law, which will enter the debate of the Parliament, the Government proposes the payment of the annual financial contribution, estimated at 101,400 dollars, to the United Nations Fund for the consolidation of peace, starting from the year 2025, a Government’s press release informs.

„Through this contribution, Romania fulfills its international obligations and strengthens its profile as an active supporter of the UN’s efforts in maintaining global peace and security”, the quoted source reads.

The necessary funds for this contribution will be provided from the state budget, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, depending on the funds approved annually by the budget laws.

The draft law will be sent to the Parliament for debate and adoption.
