National Liberal Party Chairman Nicolae Ciuca is in Brussels on Thursday, where he is participating in the meeting of the leaders of the European People’s Party (EPP).
„Today I represent Romania and the National Liberal Party at the meeting of the European People’s Party leaders, here, in Brussels, together with top European leaders: Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, and Manfred Weber, President of the EPP Group in the European Parliament. Michel Barnier, Prime Minister of France, Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of Greece, Donald Tusk, Prime Minister of Poland, Andrej Plenkovic, Prime Minister of Croatia, and Alberto Nunez Feijoo, leader of the opposition in Spain and winner of the parliamentary elections,” Nicolae Ciuca wrote on Facebook.
He emphasised the important role Romania plays in the European Union.
„This participation underlines the active and important role Romania plays within the European Union, working closely with our partners to support democracy, security and economic development,” Nicolae Ciuca added.
On this occasion, the Liberal leader will have meetings with President of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber, Commissioner-designate for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius, as well as with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
