National Defence Minister Angel Tilvar starts a three-day working visit to Istanbul on Tuesday, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Yasar Güler.

According to a National Defence Ministry (MApN) press release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, the two officials will have a bilateral meeting, focusing on the progress since the implementation of the Mine Countermeasures Black Sea Task Group (MCM Black Sea) project and the necessary steps to create the military mobility corridor between Bulgaria, Romania and Türkiye, according to the letter of intent signed last week at the NATO defence ministers meeting in Brussels.

On the sidelines of the visit, Tilvar will also have a meeting with Haluk Görgün, president of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB), and will participate in SAHA EXPO 2024 International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition, a landmark event in the area of defence and aerospace industry, organised at the Yesilköy exhibition centre in Istanbul.
