Special Correspondence from Paris – Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, message to the Romanian community in Paris: I know the amounts that the entire diaspora sends to keep their families at home, over 6 billion euros. He announced that the Government will continue to come up with more programs for those who want to return to Romania, for access to the business area, but especially in the school area, if you want to return with your families.
- After 30-something years, it’s the first year in which more Romanians came than left
The special correspondent of ecopolitic.ro, Iulian Ionescu, reports on the official visit to France by Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
- I would like you to be back in Romania, because you represent Romania’s value. I know the amounts that the entire diaspora sends to keep their families at home, which are very large sums, over EUR 6 billion.
- If we think concretely, we realize that, if you can afford to send these sums of money home, how much more value are you creating in other countries and not in Romania at the moment.
- Especially as we are in a holy place, there is a sense of guilt. We have to recognize the guilt that the Romanian state has had, the wrong approach, the fact that we have been complacent in not developing Romania.
- We have, however, managed, in a period of three years, to trigger a great deal of investment. Incomes have also risen in Romania, and for many jobs they are almost equivalent to those in France, Italy and Great Britain.
- The Romanian state must create opportunities because we live in a united Europe.
- We will continue to come up with more programs for those who want to return to Romania, for access to the business area, but especially in the school area, if you want to return with your families.
- After 30-something years, this is the first year when more Romanians came than left.
- We lacked coherence, we lacked a country plan and we lacked priorities.
- I am firmly convinced that you will know how to share power and position it in such a way that we will continue to have political stability and continue this trend.
