Romania’s Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu will pay a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on November 12 and 13, to meet UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the Speaker of the House of Commons and to participate in a Romania-UK Business Forum.
According to the governmental spokesman, Mihai Constantin, in view of the prime minister’s visit to London, the government approved on Thursday a memorandum updating the convention between the two countries in the field of taxation and prevention of tax evasion.
The new document takes into account the changes brought to the Romanian legislation in 2023, as well as those connected to the perspective of Romania’s objective of joining the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
