Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the leader of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the party’s candidate for the presidential elections, said in Bistrita-Nasaud County on Friday that he is firmly convinced that, by the time he leaves the Victoria Governmental Palace, the issues related to U.S. visas and Romania’s accession to Schengen including the land borders will be solved.
„I am firmly convinced that by the end of the year we will be in [Schengen], I cannot leave this pending issue for Romania, with the U.S. visas and the accession to Schengen including the land borders. I am firmly convinced that before I leave the Victoria Palace, both of these things will be checked off,” said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.
