More than 29 tons of plastic and glass waste loaded in Greece, respectively Turkey for commercial companies from Romania were stopped by the border police at the entrance to the country, through southern Giurgiu border crossing point, according to Agerpres.

The waste was in two vehicles driven by two Romanian citizens. The glass waste, loaded from Greece and the plastic waste, loaded from Turkey, were intended for companies in Romania, informs a press release from the Giurgiu Border Police.

Since the transfer documents were incomplete and the legal provisions in force were not respected, the competent authorities did not allow the means of transport to enter Romania, and the waste was returned to the sending companies.
