European Parliament President Roberta Metsola announces first meetings in Jerusalem. In the coming days I will represent the European Parliament in talks in Israel and the Palestinian territories at a critical moment for the Middle East and the world, Metsola says in a post on X.

„First meetings in Jerusalem. In the coming days I will represent the EP in talks in Israel and the Palestinian territories at a critical moment for the Middle East and the world.

Europe stands ready to step up its engagement and do its utmost to help the ceasefire and hostage release agreement to hold, to provide a path to increased aid and a stepping stone for a lasting peace.”
