The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened on Thursday with gains on almost all indices, with a turnover of 7.8 million lei (1.58 million euros) after 45 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered an increase of 0.19%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, also posted a similar gain of 0.19%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, representing the 25 most liquid stocks, was 0.06% higher, while the benchmark for investment fund returns, BET-BK, appreciated by 0.26%. BET-NG, the index for the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, was up 0.07%.
On the other hand, the BET-FI index, which tracks the SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), decreased 0.84%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.02%.
According to BVB data, the biggest stock gains were registered by the companies Sinteza (+13.75%), Aerostar SA (+2.44%), and Simtel Team (+2.36%).
On the downside, the biggest declines were recorded by the shares of Romcab (-14.65%), Condmag (-6.25%), and Patria Bank (-2.99%).
