Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Friday’s session higher

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s session higher, with transactions amounting to 8 million RON (1.6 million euros) 40 minutes into the trading.

The main BET index, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, saw an appreciation of 0.64%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, was up 0.67%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 0.58%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, was up 0.56%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded an increase of 0.16%, and BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, gained 0.33%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Condmag (+6.25%), Romcab (+5.56%) and Alumil Rom Industry (+2.66%).

On the other hand, the shares of Sinteza (-14.67%), Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (-12.73%) and Prebet (-5.50%) were decreasing.
