The Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, signed the financing contracts that provide the necessary funds for six objectives that will be seismically reinforced through the financing programs carried out by the Ministry of Development, the amount allocated being over 72 million RON.
According to a press release from the relevant ministry, two buildings of the CF Pascani General Hospital in Iasi County will be reinforced, for which the Ministry of Development allocates 25.2 million RON, and for the seismic reinforcement and conversion of a cultural building in Tecuci municipality, Galati County, a financing contract worth 21.5 million RON was signed.
The ministry is also allocating over 12 million RON for the consolidation, repair and thermal rehabilitation of a housing block in the Burdujeni neighborhood, Suceava municipality, where an explosion occurred in December 2022 and the residents were evacuated.
The Ministry of Development will grant over 9.5 million RON for the rehabilitation and consolidation of a kindergarten in Sector 5 of the Capital, over 2.5 million RON for the modernization of the school in Maliuc commune, Tulcea county, and the school in Vadu Stanchii village, Corbii Mari commune, Dambovita county, will benefit from funding worth over 1.6 million RON.
„Seismic reinforcement of buildings is a priority of the Ministry of Development, of the Government. In 2025, we have a record budget of 1.5 billion euros to sign such financing contracts, as a result of which we will have safe schools and kindergartens, safe hospitals, apartment blocks and seismically reinforced public buildings. At the same time, the Ministry of Development has a budget of 820 million RON for the payment of works carried out on seismic reinforcement. These works can only be carried out with the permanent involvement of local authorities”, Minister Cseke Attila emphasized quoted in the press release.
