The consultations with the head of state are a sign that we are returning to dialogue, AUR (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) chair, George Simion, stated on Wednesday, before entering the Cotroceni Palace for discussions.
He is leading the AUR delegation to the consultations with the interim president, Ilie Bolojan.
„We are returning to dialogue and democracy, it would be a great idea,” he said.
George Simion argued that there is need for „a serious audit of the amounts that Romania has allocated to the war effort, so far.”
The consultations of the interim president Ilie Bolojan with the parties and parliamentary formations in order to prepare our country’s position for the extraordinary meeting of the European Council to be held on March 6 began on Wednesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, with the PSD (Social Democratic Party) representatives. Bolojan is also scheduled to consult on Wednesday with the representatives of the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR), the Save Romania Union (USR), the S.O.S. Romania Party, the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR), the Young People’s Party (POT), the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities and the National Liberal Party (PNL).
