The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday’s session with declines across most indices, with the turnover reaching 8.7 million lei (1.7 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decrease of 0.02%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, saw a drop of 0.07%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid titles, lost 0.11%, while the benchmark index for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 0.50%.
The BET-FI index of the Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) showed a decline of 0.82%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, recorded a small increase of 0.07%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was down 0.32%.
According to BVB data, the stocks with the largest increases in value were Transelectrica (+4.19%), Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (+1.81%), and Lion Capital (+1.79%).
On the other hand, the biggest declines were seen in the shares of Turbomecanica (-9.09%), Artego (-6%), and Erste Group Bank AG (-5.82%).
