Stock Exchange opens lower

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on all indices on Tuesday, with the turnover amounting to 12.62 million lei (2.5 million euros) after 30 minutes of trading.

The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decrease of 0.27%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks at BVB, saw a drop of 0.26%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which tracks the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.32%, while the benchmark for investment funds’ returns, BET-BK, depreciated 0.41%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded a decline of 0.34%, while BET-NG, the index for the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sectors, registered a retreat of 0.21%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.14%.

According to BVB data, the biggest stock price increases were recorded by Romcab (+5.34%), UCM Resita (+4.42%) and Chimcomplex (+2.50%).

On the other hand, the biggest decreases were observed in the stocks of Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (-5.54%), Patria Bank (-4.12%), and Prebet (-1.87%).
