Răzvan Pîrcălăbescu, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Romania Embassy in Mexico, announced for ecopoliticnews.com an increase in trade between Romania and Mexico in the first 5 months of 2022 by 13.48% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching a value of 148.60 million EURO.
The export of Romanian products in the first 5 months of 2022 reached the value of 104.14 million EURO, increasing by 12.81% compared to the same period of the previous year, and the import of Mexican goods was at the level of 44.45 million EURO, up 15.09%. Those from the point of view of the trade balance, Romania benefits in the first 5 months of the year from a surplus of 58.69 million EURO, Mexico being the 11th country with which Romania has a trade surplus outside of Europe and the 2nd on the American continent after the USA.
Comparing the first 5 months of 2022 with those of 2020, we observe an increase in total trade relations with 47.82 million EURO (⬆️47,45%), export by 37.1 million EURO ( ⬆️55,34% )and trade surplus by 25.39 million EURO (⬆️76,25%).
The objective of the Romanian Embassy in Mexico for the next period is to strengthen the growth of bilateral commercial relations as well as attract new foreign direct investments with Mexican capital.
Those in order to achieve this objective, it is planned to organize an economical investment seminar together with the Ministry of Economy from Mexico as well as the organization of an economic mission with Romanian businessmen in Mexico City and as well in the states of Puebla, Jalisco, Guerrero, Tlaxcala, Quintana Roo, Oaxaca, Queretaro and Nuevo Leon.
