Bucharest Stock Exchange opens in the green Monday’s trading session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher Monday’s trading session, with turnover reaching 2.25 billion RON (452.82 million EUR), 40 minutes after the start of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.41%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, was up 0.40%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index, BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 0.39%, while the benchmark index for investment funds, BET-BK, was up 0.48%.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies posted a growth of 0.49%, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG opened 0.34% higher.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in stock values were recorded by Ropharma (+3.9%), Patria Bank (+3.66%) and Romcab (+3.38%).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were UCM Resita (-9.32%), Vrancart (-3.54%) and Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (-2.42%).
