Senate head Abrudean: Vocational education must become a priority

Published on

Vocational education must become a priority, because investing in training opens real opportunities for the future of young people, acting Senate President Mircea Abrudean declared on Tuesday at a meeting at the Embassy of Romania in France with the team that represented Romania at the World Butchers Challenge.

„Romanians who make us proud, international ambassadors of excellence. Today, at the Behague Palace – the seat of the Romanian Embassy in France – I had the opportunity to meet Romanians who make us proud all over the world: the members of the ‘Elite Butchers’ team, some of them from Cluj. These professionals represented Romania at the World Butchers Challenge, the most important international competition dedicated to this trade. Myself and Romanian ambassador in Paris Ioana Bivolaru engaged in a discussion with them about the need to lay greater emphasis on vocational schools, so that increasingly more young people can pursue a successful career in such professions,” Abrudean wrote on Facebook and Instagram.

„In order to fully capitalize on the potential, it is important to hone the necessary skills. Vocational education must become a priority. By investing in training and qualification, not only do we offer real chances for the future of young people, but we also consolidate the professions that have earned Romania international fame,” Abrudean concluded.
