The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) started Monday’s session with a significant decline across all indices, and after 45 minutes from the opening, the turnover stood at 55.045 million lei (11.060 million euros), of which 48.47 million lei (9.74 million euros) were transactions with shares.
The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a depreciation of 3.64%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, showed a decline of 3.71%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index, BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 3.53%, while the benchmark for investment funds, BET-BK, depreciated 4.05%.
The BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) recorded a decrease of 1.49%, while the BET-NG index, which includes 10 companies from the energy and utilities sectors, showed a decline of 3.11%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 2.42%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in stock value were recorded by Altur (+7.77%), Roca Industry Holding (+5.38%), and Rompetrol Rafinare (+4.24%).
On the other hand, the stocks with the largest declines were Turism, Hoteluri Restaurante Marea Neagra (-9.42%), Safetech Innovations (-8.86%), and Chimcomplex Borzesti (-8.7%).
