Bucharest Stock Exchange opens down on most indices on Monday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s session down on most indices, with transactions amounting to 11.78 million lei (2.3 million euros), 30 minutes into the session.

The main BET index, which shows the development of the 20 most liquid companies, went slightly down by 0.65%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the development of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, saw a decrease of 0.59%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid titles, lost 0.49%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, depreciated by 0.02%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs climbed 0.30%, and BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, went down by 1.23%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was increasing by 0.22%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Turbomecanica (+9.14%), Vrancart (+5.38%) and IAR SA Brasov (+4.29%).

On the other hand, the shares of Biofarm (-3.34%), OMV Petrom (-2.83%) and BRD (-2.44%) were decreasing.
