Senate president Abrudean: Romania needs leaders who don’t just analyse, but inspire

Romanians have reaffirmed, with their vote on Sunday, their direction, namely the European path, a path of dialogue and cooperation in a world that needs balance and wisdom, said on Wednesday at the Bucharest Leaders’ Summit: The Path to 5.0. From Vision To Reality, the interim president of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean.

He stressed that Romania needs leaders who not only analyse, but inspire, who not only talk about the future, but shape it.

„The Bucharest Leaders summit is taking place at a crucial moment, as such events are more than necessary in a world characterised by rapid change and complex, knock-on challenges. It gives us benchmarks, creates dialogue and brings informed voices together. In an era where we can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines, we have a duty to get involved, to be proactive, to be prepared. We live in a fluid geopolitical context, with overlapping challenges that require solutions that need to be thought through and taken on board. Romanians have sent us a clear message. In their vote on Sunday, they reaffirmed the European path, a path of stability, rights and the rule of law, a path of solid partnership with our allies, but above all a path of dialogue and cooperation in a world that needs balance and wisdom. Romania needs leaders who not only analyse but inspire, who not only talk about the future but shape it. I am convinced that these debates can be the foundation of positive changes for society,” Abrudean said in a video message.

MediaUno Press Group, MediaUno Association, the Department for Sustainable Development and the National Institute of Statistics are organising, from May 21 to June 16, 2025, ‘Bucharest Leaders’ Summit: The Path to 5.0. From Vision To Reality’, the 29th edition of the national project ‘Together we protect Romania’.
