Interim President Ilie Bolojan declared on Wednesday that the presidential elections took place without major incidents, stating that he does not know what are the elements making those who filed appeals to do so.
„You and I, as citizens, followed the way the presidential elections were conducted. We found that there were no major incidents, that the electoral process was conducted in a proper manner, and we found that, for two days, there were no public signals that there were any problems. I don’t know to what are related the elements making those who filed appeals to do this, but, as I stated in my previous intervention, I believe that our elections were well organized and truly reflected the will of our citizens, present in very large numbers at these elections,” Bolojan told a press conference at the Cotroceni Palace.
Ilie Bolojan was asked during the interim mandate review conference about the decision of AUR leader George Simion to challenge the presidential elections with the Constitutional Court.
