Interim President Bolojan: I believe amounts allocated to parties can be reduced

Published on

Interim President Ilie Bolojan said on Wednesday that the funding allocated to political parties could be reduced.

At the same time, he advocated using these amounts especially for training party members, so that they become more competitive and professional.

„I believe that the amounts allocated to political parties can be reduced in the coming period, but especially regulated in such a way that, following the model of German foundations, these amounts go mainly to the training of members of these parties to be more competitive, more professional; to training, to experience exchanges, because in this way, this investment made from public money will return through the services that these people will bring to our country, where they are, in a position, in favor of the citizens”, Bolojan told a press conference held at the Cotroceni Palace.
