Bucharest Stock Exchange, down across most indices one hour after trading start

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) was down across most indices one hour after the start of trading, with turnover amounting to over 35.65 million lei (7.04 million euros).

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decrease of 0.17%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the evolution of the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, registered a decline of 0.13%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded a drop of 0.22%, while the BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of financial investment companies (SIFs), remained flat an hour after trading began.

The BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, posted a decline of 0.66%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.60%.

According to BVB data, the highest increases in stock value were recorded by Rompetrol Well Services (+3.30%), Roca Industry Holdingrock1 (+3.29%) and IAR Ghimbav (+2.53%).

On the other hand, the biggest losses were seen in shares of Sinteza (-15%), UAMT SA (-13.12%) and Mecanica Fina (-7.83%).
