The aid mechanism adopted by the Government on Monday, which will be granted to SALROM, also includes covering the salaries of employees working in the underground of the Praid Salt Mine, declared the Minister of Economy, Bogdan Ivan.

He was asked whether the money allocated by the Government also covers the salaries of Praid Salt Mine employees and for what period of time.

„At the moment, this mechanism adopted today in the Government meeting also includes covering the salaries, in full, for the 140 people working in the underground of the Praid Salt Mine until December 31, 2025,” Bogdan Ivan told a press conference at the Victoria Palace.

In the same context, the minister of Economy stated that on Monday the Government adopted a decision establishing two state aid schemes, one of which concerns the repair of damage caused by floods, for the manager of the salt mine, SALROM, but also for other companies that carried out their economic activity underground.

The second aid scheme targets the approximately 200 companies that depended on the Praid salt mine in terms of tourist attraction.
