Bucharest Stock Exchange opens in the red on Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session down on all indices, transactions totalling 7.3 million lei (1.44 million euros), 30 minutes into the session.

The main BET index, which shows the development of the 20 most liquid companies, saw a decrease of 0.15%, and the BET-Plus index, which shows the development of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, saw a decrease of 0.14%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid titles, lost 0.21%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, lost 0.07%.

The BET-FI index of SIFs went down 0.36%, and the BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, went down 0.42%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, lost 0.29%.

According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Condmag (+14.29%), Romcab (+13%) and Aeta (5.19%).

On the other hand, shares of Mecanica Ceahlau (-7.37%), Sinteza (-6.25%) and Carbochim (-5.29%) decreased.
